One of the most famous glaciar skiing

Vallée Blanche Guide
Vallee Blanche is a skiing day on a crevassed glacier. Therefore this descent technical grade is variable and can’t be compared to traditionnal ski in a resort, No ski patrol, no groomed runs and some walk with crampons ( 20mn) to cross the top ridge and reach the ski start.
My main aim is the safety, in despite of false advertisings and the tendency to trivialize, the Valley Blanche is not a blue, red or black trail, it is a big off piste (glaciers, high altitude and unprepared snow).
The notions of middle level skier, or advanced are different among people
If you have doubts about your ski level in high mountain environment, please book a SAFARI TOUR around Chamonix. You will improve your ski with tips and advices enjoying your days and you will be sure to have the conveniant level if you attempt the Vallée Blanche.
advices
-
- Not to be taken lightly, ski descents on glaciers require a good level of practice in all types of snow.
- Highly variable snow conditions and the ever-present risk of falling into crevasses call for good technique control.
